I am an architecture student with commitment, passion and drive for high quality design of space who has thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of his architectural education and work experience.

I take pride in my work ethic and passion for design, the standard to which i hold my work and my ability to meet new challenges.

 

I view architecture as a holistic and societal undertaking that at its most successful involves people, cultures, politics, styles and traditions that both affects and is affected by the way we live our lives.

 

I am inspired by the writings of Manfredo Tafuri and his concern with the relationship between architecture and society and the works of Carlo Scarpa who’s clear attention to the quality of  each individual aspect of space is something i hope my work reflects.

 

I have experience in working in a ‘big small’ design office with ERZ Landscape Architects  who taught me about a range of office work and the importance of landscape in architecture, an awareness which has had a substantial influence on my university designs.

 

I see myself as curious, attentive, driven, open minded, patient, a clear communicator, a visual learner and a team player.

 

I enjoy traveling, learning, cycling, reading, writing drawing, socialising, family, football, film and music.

 

I hope to gain part 2 placement in a quality practice where i can be part of a group who are expanding and exploring the built environment and where my experience will leave a positive and lasting influence on me.
